A brief history and sociology

Though considered by many of the other races as on the edge of darkness the Naga have never waived in their support of the light. They tend to build sprawling empires underground in the underdark filled with magnificent palaces statues and other high arts. They also tend to be more open to what many would consider the darker arts. In the past the Naga have often kept to themselves but that is mostly because of their natural aversion to sunlight. Those that do venture out are often misunderstood and not trusted on sight alone. Naga lay caches of eggs usually once in their life and breed between 1-3 children from that. Partners tend to stay together for life but, especially considering their longer life spans, they tend to spend vast amounts of time apart pursuing their own ends. The Naga are the only race that has kept a record of the Great War that has any clue as to what exactly the enemy consisted of. Unfortunately it is still a mass of jumbled images on a great mural in the throne chamber of the High Lord Drenack in the Palace of Lost Wonders deep within the Underdark. So few Naga even have had an opportunity to glimpse none the less outsiders. During the Great war the Naga were essential to sealing off portions of the underdark and in one great turn rising from hidden caverns in the Ostenhart Prefect to flank the enemy as they bore down on a battered Lemurian (long time rivals of the Naga) line saving the day.
